I knew you were going to say that

That’s just me, thinking the impossible

unitedboy101 on 27 October, 2007 at 11:22 am #

water doesn’t burn

sio77nvd4 on 30 October, 2007 at 2:42 pm #

I was thinking something impossible but I just want to share my idea.

Can you run a car on water?

If it does, we would save a large amount of gas.

That is pretty stupid I can tell

searay230 on 3 November, 2007 at 1:06 am #

now they have like 500 people, in the video like 5 people…

seddfmyd on 4 November, 2007 at 3:38 pm #

its perfectly fine on older cars, newer cars have problems though. best to mix it with some diesel though.

AnthonyUK on 4 November, 2007 at 8:35 pm #

You have to be careful;some car/van/truck manufacturers don’t recommend veg oil biodiesel and could refuse to honour warranty claims/servicing for problems caused by it. Older engines pre-commonrail may well take it BUT the newer more modern commonrail diesel engines may not like it and could breakdown/foul up on it.

DiveSouthWest on 8 November, 2007 at 1:08 am #

Short answer - yes. Longer answer - go google;-) There’s a lot of info out there that Jems missed out. There can be very big issues with using veggie oil so it pays to read up on it. It’s worth the effort.

Good news is the tax position has changed - in the oil burners favour!!

thetruebadmax on 10 November, 2007 at 3:19 am #

Well, they do say that any OLD diesel will do, wich clearly suggests this is nothing you pour down a brand new high-performance Beemer. However in a old, crude diesel engine, It´ll probably work fine.

notymonkey on 13 November, 2007 at 2:32 pm #

i had heard of bio-diesel by using palm oil..but not normal vege.

wasim18m on 16 November, 2007 at 5:57 am #

no wonda he tried it on a old volvo..dont try dis at home lol

roulainde on 16 November, 2007 at 7:13 pm #

dont be stupid of course you cant sue the bbc they never said you have to try it, and its up to you,if you try it and the car breaks down who stupid fault is that?

Morlonte on 20 November, 2007 at 2:27 am #

can you mix the vegetable oil with normal diesel? Because Jeremy said you need to bleed out the system…????

pearljamfan99 on 22 November, 2007 at 3:54 pm #

This is not true biodiesel, that is thinning out the waste oil. Biodiesel is the transesterification process of taking the fatty acids out and placing an alcohol in its place.

pearljamfan99 on 24 November, 2007 at 11:48 pm #

That would be your responsibility to check final production testing. I have been in the biodiesel business for 4 years and have had zero issues.

berkeliumk on 27 November, 2007 at 11:08 pm #

Yes… For frying some hamburgers before using the oil.

markmorelia on 29 November, 2007 at 12:09 pm #

can i sue the bbc if damage is done to my engine ? making biodiesel isnt as easy as this video claims !! what about the fatty acids ? they didnt even check to see if the biodiesel was the correct PH !!

MB300Diesel on 1 December, 2007 at 2:51 pm #

isn’t that why you add the white spirit? :)

DrPhibes10 on 3 December, 2007 at 4:30 pm #

where i work i think they do

mechanicalguy on 4 December, 2007 at 10:09 am #

Maybe you can use diesel for cooking.

Maiden6Trooper on 5 December, 2007 at 3:32 pm #

I bet the smoke out of the exhaust smelled like food :P

mageac on 8 December, 2007 at 7:17 pm #

nope it was in 1893, he designed the first engine to run on coal dust, which obviously didnt work too well.

after this engine he made one that was similar, that ran on oil, and peanut oil was handy for hime at the time, so thats what it ran on

DerVampyrEngel on 8 December, 2007 at 8:55 pm #

@ mageac , no the Inventor Rudolf Diesel used peanut oil for it and didn’t invent the engine for the dyno stuff, that only came later with the oil companies

jimmyass on 9 December, 2007 at 9:22 pm #

the audience was soooooo small

essegerne on 10 December, 2007 at 7:51 am #

That’s true what they show. For an entire month I have been using vegetable oil for my old Mercedes 300D and the engine was working like a Swiss watch. But remember not to use this “fuel” when the temperature is low because the vegetable oil becomes too dense.

Article marketing are the relevant backlinks you’ll be able to accumulate if your article gets revealed by a directory and as your articles subsequently get republished on completely different sites on the web. You will get traffic directly from all the instances of the republished article furthermore from the rising rank of the article and its relevant links in the search engines.
