I just bought a hot oil treatment today, I can’t remember the brand though. My hair is very dry and damaged, and frizzy! So I have to do a lot to keep it looking okay. Does a hot oil treatment really work good? Like, will it restore the moisture in my hair, and leave it silky and shiny? And will it keep it that way, or the next time I wash it will it look blah again? Thanks.

After I finish my protein conditioner I am Thinking of using Olive Oil as a hot oil treatment before I shampoo my hair, I heard it strengthens the hair. I am also thinking of using a mixture of Aloe Vera gel, glycerine, and olive oil as my homemade leave in conditioner. What do you think?

I hope in a couple of months the only commercial products I use will be my shampoo, and heat protectant.

I’ve been researching, but still can’t get a simple answer. I’ve read a lot of good things about jojoba. Also for grapeseed oil, not so much about anything else. Almond oil works reallly good for my hair, jojoba works good for my skin as well as coconut, but the only problem is that i want one oil that can do it all.
