I have a VW Jetta.
I have a VW Jetta.
I was pretty much out of oil, so I started filling it up. Then I realized the dipstick wasn’t really marked, and checked the manual.
Long story short, I put almost twice too much oil in it than what is supposed to be in there. I plan on making an appointment tomorrow and then going to get my oil changed and such.
My question is, will having that much oil in my car be a severe issue driving less than a mile to the place?

I need to get tape off my wall and people made the suggestion that I use vegetable oil to remove it. Now I have stains on my wall from the vegetable oil. I am also wanting to paint the wall but do not want it to soak through to the new paint.

The reason I ask is because It seems like that always gets made a red herring when trying to locate an actual tangible malfunction in the engine’s operation.

My brother said they probably just spilled some oil and it’s burning off. But this has never happened to me after an oil change. Could it really be just some spilled oil or could they have messed something up?

Failure occures only after steady driving then coming to a complete stop. Oil pressure gauge drops to zero and “check gauges” light comes on. Increase the rpms a little and the gauge corrects. Any ideas?

The company I purchase the oil from says that I should keep it FULL over the summer? The guy I sude to service the furnace says it doesn’t matter; even keeping it AS LOW AS 1/4 FILLED is OK What’s your experiance/knowledge?

All I want is an oil that is suitable for my car and will maintain its properties for a year given that it’s rarely driven.
