If your dad hasn’t seen a doctor regarding the bleeding in his stools, he should do that and get a diagnosis. That’s the first step for him. After that, he can determine what to do about his condition.

Yes, drain the yogurt to make it into a cheese so that it has greater density & will bond more thoroughly with the flax oil, making the oil easily digestible so that it can reach the tissues & cells that need it.

Budwigdiet on 15 April, 2009 at 3:47 pm #

GRANT

Yes, you can. Others have done just that & have had good results.

You said this mixture thins the blood? My dad have been having problems with bleeding in his stools so I guess this is not a good idea for him?

I am currently being treated for ****** cancer and on Gemzar, Herceptin, Zometa. Can I include this diet to my plan? sounds like a good idea to me, especially knowing Gemzar can reduce platelets.

I am a stage 4 ****** cancer patient high in estrogen and currently in treatment. I have had my 3rd recurrence and am now on chemo for the third time. This program interests me very much. Can I do this program while on treatment and continue after I get this demon under control again?

Budwigdiet on 21 April, 2009 at 9:05 am #

ANTONIA

Yes, but the diet may not have the same benefit when chemo is involved. If on a blood thinner, you should have your blood tested often & reduce the medication if your blood is thinning appropriately due to the healthful benefits of flax oil.

Can you do this diet if you are on chemo and blood thinning injections?

In the frig drain the yogurt through a couple layers of cheesecloth into a bowl. Put a rubber band around the cheesecloth to hold it in place. I think there’s a youtube video on draining yogurt. Organic lowfat is not unhealthy especially for anyone with cancer, heart disease or other conditions in which saturated animal fat is a problem. Vitamin D in whole milk is added & can be replaced by a D supplement. Getting sunlight in summer builds D naturally & stores it for several months

Thx 4 quick reply, could u clarify: Drain yogurt overnite ? leave in frig? And my first question referencing the cottage cheese is outstanding: Why use lowfat…when I’ve been told Org Lowfat is unhealthy vs Org Whole Mile w/Vit D. Is it true 4 cottage cheese, too?

Budwigdiet on 26 April, 2009 at 8:45 am #

ELMO

Baking or heating flax seeds can damage the oil inside the seed & reduce its benefits. The same is true for nuts. Raw unheated nuts have more benefits than roasted nuts because the oils inside turn rancid when heated. Regarding yogurt, for the recipe in the video, it needs to be drained overnight, making yogurt cheese in order to have enough density & sulphurated proteins for the oil to adher to so that it’s easily metabolized & carried to the cells.

After the flax oil & cottage cheese are blended well, then water or fruit juice can
be added for delivery via G-tube.

Budwigdiet on 29 April, 2009 at 12:27 pm #

BILLY

Yes, it helps improve low blood platelet levels. Eliminating damaging foods & adding healthful foods into the diet makes a difference in this area. See my
BudwigVideos website for the full Budwig
nutrition plan. Flaxseed oil is high in
omega-3 fatty acids, which are not produced by the body. The oil helps reduce inflammation, improve circulation, increase the ratio of good to bad cholesterol & reduce cancer risk. Flax oil boosts the immune system & helps build low platelet levels.

Clear & thorough recipe instructions.I question if Black Flaxseeds should be baked first and if Low Fat Yogurt is healthy choice.

you said this thins the blood. is this good for people with a low blood platelete count?

Budwigdiet on 6 May, 2009 at 7:29 am #

ASA

It’s important to use liquid flax oil rather
than pills because the oil has to bond with the cottage cheese when the two are blended together. The bonding of the two is what allows the oil to become more easily metabolized & carried to the cells that need its essential fatty acids.

Salt-free cottage cheese is OK to use.

Studies are often flawed & results uncertain. Due to flawed logic, conclusions about dairy in “The China Study” are refuted in detail at the westonaprice website. Criticism of dairy in general doesn’t seem to fit Budwig’s recipe of blended FO & CC, the mix is healthful for many reasons, but there’s more to the full Budwig plan. People with advanced cancers have regained their health with this program. Details & testimonials are at budwigvideos site & the Yahoo group, FlaxSeedOil2

Can you take flax seed cold pressed pills and cottage cheese?

Goodstuff989 on 14 May, 2009 at 2:40 pm #

DELBERT

Hello: Thank you so much for posting this. I whip the cottage cheese and flax oil mine in a food processor. I am just wondering if it matters if the cottage cheese is salt free or not? I found some that is salt free and prefer the taste of it. Best wishes!
