bml asked:

“The Age of Oil — 100-plus years of astonishing economic growth made possible by cheap, abundant oil — could be ending without our really being aware of it. Oil is a finite commodity. At some point even the vast reservoirs of Saudi Arabia will run dry. But before that happens there will come a day when oil production ‘peaks,’ when demand overtakes supply (and never looks back), resulting in large and possibly catastrophic price increases that could make today’s $60-a-barrel oil look like chump change…

upperlupus1617 on 12 July, 2009 at 6:21 am #

nm I don’t care, people can do whatever they want, don’t reply

upperlupus1617 on 14 July, 2009 at 3:57 pm #

huh I don’t care about tacos

it was a simple question, why do you care about oil?

mayb880 on 15 July, 2009 at 5:55 am #

for the same reason that you care about tacos upperlupus

upperlupus1617 on 18 July, 2009 at 4:10 pm #

I got a question, why do you care about petroleum?

mayb880 on 21 July, 2009 at 9:42 pm #

The Democraps have banned drilling in much of the USA. That is why.

Do you live under a rock? It was a big election issue and even Obamafag had to pretend that he wanted to allow more drilling.

The world is floating on oil but thanks to the Democraps we need to import oil from hostile crappy countries.

upperlupus1617 on 22 July, 2009 at 9:58 pm #

Mayb880 were on a sprint to the edge of a cliff, this world isn’t meant to support 6.7 billion people, “expected to reach nearly 9 billion by the year 2042″ (wikipedia).

Explain to us why we rely on foreign oil instead of oil from wyoming

mayb880 on 23 July, 2009 at 7:04 am #

lol ecit you’re piping mad to be typing this much. I don’t have time to read all this bullshit.

You go ahead and plan on $20 a gallon gas… I’ll plan on the current $1.67 gas.

your ghetto logic falls you

ecitsujwon on 23 July, 2009 at 1:17 pm #

I’m Caucasian. And I’ll only speak down to the fucking TRASH, that shows its fucking filth, and throws it in my face, as you have. You’re a fucking ridiculous, rancid excuse for an upstanding citizen, and I’m sure that your outspoken opinions extend only as far as your concealed youtube identity can reach, and unfortunately, I digitally met you.

ecitsujwon on 25 July, 2009 at 8:07 pm #

but when I throw a bone to a dog, whatever he says back to me will inevitably be incomprehensible ****. Wait, let me take that back, you actually did that eloquently. And, your pathetic stab at witty humor was lost on your 5th grade level spelling acuity. You’re a small part of the large pathetic spawn of this countries problem, and you immediately assume me a black liberal; I voted for no one because I liked no one. I’m a conservative.

ecitsujwon on 26 July, 2009 at 12:01 am #

Alright, if you’d like to approach me with an intelligent conversation, then do so eloquently and with a bit of class. But, now you’re condescending and being obtrusively derogatory. You’ve already earned your place in my regard as moderately coherent, that’s just above a roach’s intellect and that carnivorous plant in the tropics, as well as revealed that your borderline retardation assumes my race based on our brief exchange of words; I’d say conversation,

mayb880 on 29 July, 2009 at 12:41 am #

yes I’m not as smart as blacks… obviously lol

ecitsujwon on 1 August, 2009 at 2:47 am #

It’s Kwanzaa. I see your lack of intelligence caries through more than one area of your mind.

mayb880 on 2 August, 2009 at 8:42 am #

yes happy Kwanza

ecitsujwon on 4 August, 2009 at 12:15 pm #

Like I said, Good Luck

mayb880 on 5 August, 2009 at 2:48 am #

obviously no oil co would benefit from cheap oil/gas. Which means we will possibly go down under a $1. Say 15 cents a gallon for gas

If Liberals can predict that the world will “run out of oil in a couple of years”, then normal people can predict that gas will hit 15 cents. Neither will happen

These old hippy type socialists that made this video want high energy costs. A booming economy means fewer “poor” people for them to put on welfare to secure their votes

Gerbil power is still a ways off

ecitsujwon on 6 August, 2009 at 2:43 pm #

And what could he possibly benefit by making such a claim?
Denial is a powerful thing, if you doubt that, remember this conversation 10 years from now, and many others I’m sure you’ll have defending what you think you know but don’t. I’m preparing now, and have been, and all I can try to do is bring awareness. Good luck

mayb880 on 6 August, 2009 at 11:07 pm #

That unintelligent person was actually Moody’s. The big bond rating etc company. They just announced that yesterday.

The CEO of Gulf oil said, a few days ago, that Gas will be under $1 soon. Anything under $4.00 is fine by me but $1 is ok too since I don’t work in the oil patch.

Our current world slump is not caused by oil.

ecitsujwon on 10 August, 2009 at 1:36 am #

Anyone unintelligent to predict a permanent ride at 25$ a barrel is in the wrong field, and merely part of the dilemma that has been deceiving the world, me, you, about this crisis. But, it truly troubles me when I discuss this with, well, persons like yourself. I got out of that industry because I realized a very scary thing, and its not an easy concept to digest. Our current economic crisis is not coincidental, and is the sole reason prices have dropped for gas, because demand has dropped

mayb880 on 10 August, 2009 at 11:09 am #

if you work for Anadarko then it all makes sense. Now that oil is predicted to go down to $25 a barrel and gas to $1.00 again working for an oil co. isn’t the best career option. Oil is a very volatile business… and prices are crashing to nothing again thanks to the abundant supply.

Gold is in short supply though. Check out Freeport McMoran or similar.

ecitsujwon on 12 August, 2009 at 11:06 pm #

We can all wiki what oil is made of, perhaps if you check your source, you’ll discover that unlike putting a block of ice in the sun, plants and animals don’t die, decompose, and one month later are crude oil. This process is a matter of unmeasurable amounts of pressure, heat, and time. And the word renewable resource means we have immediate control over renewing it as readily as we spend it. 80 million barrels a day are not being formed, and if you truly believe that then… God help you

ecitsujwon on 14 August, 2009 at 8:26 am #

I won’t be catering to your rudeness or your hostility. Your aggressiveness merely tells me you’re like the majority of others, that will irrationally defend oil because peak oil is a scary thought. I spent 10 years of my life working as a exploratory geologist for anadarko oil acquisitions, and trust me, the way you throw out the word trillions reveals to me once again that you have no idea what you’re talking about.

ecitsujwon on 16 August, 2009 at 7:40 am #

I don’t believe in global warming

mayb880 on 18 August, 2009 at 5:30 pm #

upper oil IS renewable. Please look up what it consists of (dead plant and animal remains). Unless all life on Earth dies off there will always be more oil being created.

There is oil being “made” every second of every day in massive quantities. Think about the bottom of the ocean and all the dead crap decomposing.

mayb880 on 19 August, 2009 at 5:51 am #

if so little oil is left on Earth why is milk more expensive than gasoline?

My State, Wyoming, has over 1.4 TRILLION barrels of untapped oil. Enough to supply the entire planet for many many years. And many other states out West have similar deposits. Not to mention Alberta which is floating on oil or Brazil which just found over 2 trillion barrels off it’s costs and expects to find more

As technology improves finding oil will get easier and easier

Now go back and cry about “global warming”
