isaiah asked:

I need to get tape off my wall and people made the suggestion that I use vegetable oil to remove it. Now I have stains on my wall from the vegetable oil. I am also wanting to paint the wall but do not want it to soak through to the new paint.

You can use something like Kilz to cover it before you repaint. If not the stain will keep coming back. To get tape off a wall you can use goof off. Works wonders.

Use paint thinner to remove the tape and at least some of the vegetable oil in the stain. When the thinner has evaporated, spray the stained area with Kilz.
