i believe the plant is boiled and the oil rises to the top, i’m pretty sure thats it but i could be wrong…

Extraction is often done thru pressing… a whole lot of pressure and a very small amount of oil is released. It often takes a LOT of the item to produce a LITTLE amount of the oil.

unfortunatly most are done chemicaly not an option for the home gardener

pressing is the best answer not chemical although some are
